Church of Solute in Venice

"When you go to Venice you need to visit The Church of the Solute that is located between the Grand Canal and the Bacino di San Marco. This church will fascinate you with its look created in baroque style. The Church of Solute was built in the middle of 17th century to honour and ask for mercy, because of the great plague the Virgin Mary.
One of the most honourable Venice events that is connected with Virgin Mary is The Feast of Annunciation celebrated on 25th of March. The city of Venice is founded on this date too.
The Church of Solute was projected by the young 26-year-old Baldessare Longhena. It took 50 years to  build it up and a year later Longhena died. The church is crated in the shape of rotunda to honour Holy Mother in the form of a crown. In the church you will see the amazing altar, with its painting of the Virgin, painted by Byzantines in 12th century.
So, if you plan going to Italy during the spring season or at the end of March, go to Venice and feel the atmosphere when you walk in The church of Solute."
