Vienna in Three Days

Most of the tourists during their first visit to Vienna come unprepared and tend to miss a lot of the city's features. Besides the well-known attractions like the Riesenrad and the Hofburg palace, there are many other attractions worth seeing and one may need more than a couple of days to feel the atmosphere of the Austrian capital.

Many of the hotels Vienna offer a guide to help their guests with the sightseeing strategy. It's very important to make a careful planning when making a city tour, because Vienna is much like Rome and Paris – the tourists usually get back in their hotel rooms completely exhausted. Here is my 3 days strategy for a Viennese tour.

For the first day, it would be a nice plan to see most of the attractions located inside the Ringstrasse set of boulevards. Here are some of the oldest and most popular buildings, like St. Stephen's cathedral and Hofburg (the whole complex of royal apartments, two of the biggest museums in the city, the crown jewels and the imperial tombs) which are the most logical choice for a start.

The second day would be well-spent with visiting the remote places. Two of the main palaces are outside the Ringstrasse - Schonbrunn and Belvedere. It is also a nice day to enjoy the unique attractions of the Riesenrad.

Finally, it's time for relax. The third day is dedicated to the cafes, the restaurants, the open markets or even the famous Viennese balls. The Viennese cuisine, the Spanish Riding School, the multitude of parks, squares and monuments will surely make your short vacation a wonderful experience.

Make sure that you never get tired or confused in Vienna and rely on your good planning. You can depend on the excellent services of hotel Vienna Danube.
